11am 11/11/1918 marked the end of fighting in WW1. Armistice Day became an international day marking the ceasefire of World War 1. The US renamed it Veteran’s Day to honor those of all Wars. When we look back on what veterans of these wars had to endure, I am not sure we can imagine what they went through to stop “The Most Sanguinary War” known to man. While I would like to have one word to describe these mindsets, I do not.
Some of these mindsets include
Gratitude.
Service.
Commitment.
Consistency.
Perspective.
Flexibility
Respect.
Honor.
The best thing you can do this week is remember when setting your mindset. Think about those veterans who sacrificed so much for us. You are able to own your own business, move higher, move faster, and be with the ones you love because of our veterans. So many things we take for granted may not exist without those battles fought by our veterans. Many of us would not even be here if not for them.
“No Battle Plan Survives First Contact With The Enemy”
Sometimes improving your self and your business feels lacking in direction. Imagine how it feels in the middle of real battle, when the world is on the line.
More often then not in these days of innumerable choices, we remember and celebrate through action. When you take advantage of the opportunities that have been provided, and don’t settle for the status quo, you celebrate your freedom. When you improve yourself and the way you communicate with those you serve, in any way, your action honors our veterans and their accomplishments. Use that as your mindset this week, when the world seems overwhelming and too much too handle. I, in no way think, that what we are doing here equates to what was done before us. I do think those that gave their lives or part of themselves for us has an expectation. They expected us to do as much as we could with what we were dealt.
