Everyone wants their business to grow. It would be weird if they didn’t, right?
But growth requires a lot of effort and manpower.
Today, we are extremely blessed with tools that not only help us exponentially grow our businesses, but also cut down our costs, brainpower, and effort.
Thanks to technology, we have developed automation tools that are cheap and reliable to get us through the day.
So on this episode of the Garlic Marketing Show, I invited Certified Hubspot Diamond Partner Ronald Berry III. FROM ZERO TO HERO
Ronald Berry started his freelancing journey in July 2020.
But he immediately garnered clients and became overwhelmed.
At first, he decided that perhaps growing his rate would help him control his client influx.
But later on, he knew that he had to do something else…
So he decided that the best course of action was to WALK THE TALK.
He now needed to automate his own operations with HubSpot.
“So at that point I was like, “All right, I need to start practicing what I preach. I implement HubSpot for businesses.” I started off with the starter version, pretty simple, cheap, and easy to get set up. I built it out, had access to housing my contacts, housing my customers, housing communications with them, and just threw it all together in one quick and easy system.”
Doing this worked well for Ronald for the first few times.
But later, he had to take the upgrades as more and more clients kept coming through the door.
To cut the story short, he is now working as one of HubSpot’s Certified Diamond Partners.
“Instantly I saw the ROI there just because it relieved me of probably five to 10 hours a week of stress, which, when you’re working a full-time job and freelancing at the same time, it’s a lot. So it really saved me a lot of time and effort and brainpower to say the least.”
What really matters
On his journey working with Hubspot, Ronald learned a few things that many business owners mistakenly do.
He observed that many business owners tend to focus on having a powerful advertising team.
Not that it’s wrong, but it can be detrimental to businesses if they do not keep a good eye on their internal operations.
According to Ronald, focusing on your operations should be the first step that every business owner should make.
“I think the operations piece gets glanced over a lot and everyone just wants to dive into the sales and everyone just wants to dive into the marketing. But if you laid that whole picture out of your business, you can start to pick it apart and say, this is really inefficient. And that’s what I want to focus on improving.”
