Justin Brooke didn’t start as an agency owner with million-dollar businesses. In fact, his early days in marketing were spent struggling to make just enough to pay the bills.
Everything changed when he landed an internship with Russell Brunson, the future founder of ClickFunnels. During that time, Justin had access to a vault of marketing courses, books, and seminars, and the one that caught his attention the most was about Google Ads.
At a time when advertising seemed expensive and out of reach for small businesses, Justin realized that with just $5 a day, he could reach the right audience.
That insight led to him turning $60 into six figures in under a year.

How Google Ads Became a Game-Changer
Most marketers focus on Facebook Ads, flashy creatives, and viral campaigns. But Justin saw the power of Google Ads early on.
While Facebook requires grabbing attention, Google Ads taps into intent.
“People are typing into Google ‘how to build a Joomla website,’ and I have a course called ‘How to Build a Joomla Website’—the sales just happen,” Justin explained.
He scaled his business profitably by focusing on what people were already searching for, instead of trying to interrupt them with ads.
The Evolution From Agency to Education Business
Justin didn’t just stop at running a successful agency. As more people asked him how he was doing it, he realized there was an opportunity to teach what he had learned.
That led to the creation of AdSkills.com, an online school for advertisers covering everything from Google Ads to Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube ads.
Instead of constantly chasing new clients for his agency, he used courses as both lead generation and a downsell.
For agency owners, this was a game-changer. Instead of walking away from potential clients who weren’t ready for high-ticket services, he turned them into paying customers by offering lower-cost education.
The Book Funnel That Sold 50+ Books Per Day
Justin didn’t just sell courses, he used book funnels to attract and nurture clients.
His free + shipping book funnel worked by offering a physical book for just the cost of shipping, but the real profit came from what happened next.
Inside the funnel, he:
- Offered an audiobook upsell at checkout
- Used bump sells to increase order value
- Added a $100 “gift certificate” inside the book for his courses
One of the biggest lessons? Physical books convert better than digital books.
“People buy digital books and forget about them,” Justin explained. “But when a book sits on their desk, they’ll come back to it, even months later.”
Why Retargeting is Still a Secret Weapon
With all the focus on new traffic sources, Justin believes retargeting is one of the most underutilized growth strategies.
“People think they need more leads,” he said, “but often, they just need to re-engage the people who already showed interest.”
His retargeting approach helped push people through his funnel, whether they stopped at the book purchase, the course offer, or even his multi-thousand-dollar certification program.
Justin Brooke’s success wasn’t about viral ads or chasing trends, it was about building a system that nurtured leads at every level.
His strategy of leveraging Google Ads, book funnels, and retargeting turned a small Google Ads campaign into a multi-million-dollar business.
