This week we’re going to be talking about my new book, Situation Marketing, and the mindsets around it.

There are several mindsets involved, but really it’s about how to market with story and how to find your ideal customer’s stories.
While storytelling is complex, we use a tactic to boil it down, really the key to successful implementation is getting in those mindsets.

What I want you to do is learn how to market, and speak, to a situation; this week’s mindsets will lay the groundwork for you.

One of the biggest things we have to understand is the stages of relationships. If you put yourself in a situation to market to someone, the stage of the relationship you’re in with that person will determine how you talk to that person; it’s going to matter what you say to them.

Often times we want to say the same thing, over and over, because we’ve gotten used to advertising that bombards us with repetition; but, we must realize that people must come to know, like and trust us. All of those things must happen before someone makes a decision to work with us.

Not only does someone need to know, like and trust us, they have to know, like and trust the process.

A process really begins with what someone wants, progresses to what someone needs and covers their alibis.
The concept behind this is that these are usually three different things. Most of the time we give people what they need, but if they don’t at least know and like us what they need is not what they want; if they don’t know that you’ve given them what they want, they aren’t going to pay attention to what we need.

Let’s talk about individuals.
