Why You Need to Jump on the Podcasting Bandwagon with Rob Greenlee

Podcasting has hit an all-time high in popularity recently. More and more people are recognizing the power of audio. This episode of The Garlic Marketing Show podcasts is all about the medium of podcasting. Podcast expert Rob Greenlee has been with podcasts since the very beginning, and he delves into the future of podcasts.

When he walked into a radio station in 1999, Greenlee wondered why nobody was using radio to talk about the rise of technology. He watched the media hype around podcasts rise and fall, and today he thinks the future of podcasts is bright. Greenlee works as a marketer at Spreaker, a comprehensive podcasting platform for everyone from beginners to experienced podcasters.

Greenlee’s Advice

If you’re thinking of launching a podcast, Greenlee has some advice. First, he thinks it pays to really hone in on your idea. You should have a clear message for your audience, and from there you only need a few key pieces of equipment. Things like episode ideas, show outlines, and descriptions can all develop as you go as long as your message is clearly developed.

It’s okay if you don’t find your rhythm right away. Podcast is very much an art form that needs some mastery to get right. Be willing to put in the effort and ideas needed to take your podcast to the next level! Greenlee’s biggest advice is to fail early and learn from your mistakes! It’s normal to make some mistakes in the beginning, but as long as you learn from them you’re on your way to success.
